EB-5 Visa Eligibility

The EB-5 visa program was developed in 1990 to stimulate the U.S. economy through job creation and foreign investment. There are two EB-5 visas: regular EB-5 visas and regional center EB-5 visas. To apply for a standard EB-5 visa, you must invest in a new commercial enterprise that will create at least ten (10) full-time jobs for qualifying U.S. workers.

What Is the Minimum Investment for an EB-5 Visa?

Current investment requirements are set at a minimum of $1,050,000 or $800,000 (including infrastructure projects) for targeted employment areas, such as rural areas or areas identified as having significant unemployment rates of at least 150% of the national average.

Required investment thresholds are subject to inflation adjustments every five years, with the next adjustment scheduled for January 2027.

EB-5 Immigrant Investor Regional Centers are economic entities, organizations, or agencies USCIS has approved to sponsor investments in specific geographic areas. They can be publicly or privately owned. The EB-5 regional center visa program sets aside visas specifically for those looking to invest in these areas.
